SGPC Asks Indian Government To Reopen Kartarpur Sahib Corridor

The apex Sikh body Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has asked the Union government of India to reopen Kartarpur corridor at the earliest so that the Sikh devotees can go for paying obeisance there. Notably, the Indian government had suspended pilgrimage to Gurdwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib on March 16 due to coronavirus outbreak.

“The devotees are keen to pay obeisance at the historic Sikh shrine related to Guru Nanak Sahib so the corridor should be reopened at the earliest,” he added.

Longowal said that the Pakistan government has already announced to reopen the corridor for the Indian Sikh devotees so the Indian government should also take an immediate decision in this concern.
