Delhi Court Dismisses Bail Plea of Ex-Fortis Healthcare Promoter Malvinder Singh in PMLA Case

 

Malvinder Mohan Singh sought bail on the ground of parity that Shivinder Mohan Singh, his brother and co-accused in the case, had been granted bail by the Delhi High Court on July 23.

A Delhi court Tuesday dismissed a bail application of former Fortis Healthcare promoter Malvinder Mohan Singh in a money laundering case related to alleged misappropriation of funds at Religare Finvest Ltd (RFL).

Malvinder Mohan Singh was rejected on Tuesday 25th August in a case filed by the Enforcement Directorate.

The District and Sessions Judge, Sandeep Yadav, South East District in the Saket Courts rejected the bail plea.

“Keeping in view the severity of offence and magnitude of amount involved, possibility of witnesses being influenced by the accused and other relevant factors as discussed above in this order, it is concluded that accused Malvinder Mohan Singh is not entitled to bail.
