Manjinder Singh Sirsa Filed a Police Complaint in Howrah Police Station For Registration of FIR u/s 295A

             

नई दिल्ली, 12 अक्टूबरः दिल्ली सिख गुरुद्वारा प्रबंधक कमेटी के अध्यक्ष स. मनजिंदर सिंह सिरसा ने आज पश्चिमी बंगाल के अपने दौरे के दूसरे दिन पूर्व सैनिक बलविंदर सिंह की दस्तार व केसों की बेअदबी करने वाले कोलकाता पुलिस के मुलाज़िमों के खिलाफ थाना हावड़ा में शिकायत दर्ज करवाई है।

शिकायत दर्ज करवाने के बाद स. सिरसा ने बताया कि उन्होंने डी.जी.पी पश्चिम बंगाल के नाम पर यह शिकायत दी है जो पुलिस थाना हावड़ा में प्राप्त की गई है। इस शिकायत में मांग की गई है कि पूर्व सैनिक बलविंदर सिंह की दस्तार व केसों की बेअदबी करने वाले कोलकाता पुलिस के मुलाज़िमों के खिलाफ धारा 295ए व अन्य संबंधित धाराओं के तहत केस दर्ज किया जाये। उन्होंने बताया कि बलविंदर सिंह फौज का एक जाबाज़ सिपाही रहा है जिसने कारगिल, ऑपरेशन प्रकारम व अन्य कई इस तरह के ऑपरेशन में भाग लेकर देश की रक्षा की है। इसके इलावा वह ब्लैक कोट कमांडो भी रहा है व एन.एस.जी में उसने देश की सेवा की है पर बहुत ही शर्मनाक बात है कि कोलकाता पुलिस ने बलविंदर सिंह के साथ अमानवीय व्यवहार किया है उसकी दस्तार उतारी व केसों की बेअदबी करते हुए उसे बालों से पकड कर घसीटा जिसका सबूत वीडियो में मौजूद है।

स. सिरसा ने कहा कि दुनिया भर के सिखों में इस घटना को लेकर व्यापक रोष है और संसद द्वारा पास किए एक्ट के तहत बनी दिल्ली गुरुद्वारा कमेटी ने इस मामले में कार्रवाई के लिए यह शिकायत सिख कौम की तरफ से दी है। उन्होंने बताया कि सिखों के सर्वोच्च तख्त श्री अकाल तख्त साहिब के जथेदार ज्ञानी हरप्रीत सिंह जी ने भी इस घटना की ज़ोरदार निंदा की है और कहा है कि पश्चिम बंगाल में लड़ाई भाजपा व टी.एम.सी के बीच है पर इस लड़ाई में राजनीतिक लाभ लेने के लिए सिख नौजवान को निशाना बनाया जा रहा है जबकि इस सिख के पास ऑल इंडिया लाइसेंस वाला हथियार है। उन्होंने कहा कि ममता बनर्जी को इस नौजवान को तुरंत रिहा करना चाहिए और अगर ऐसा न किया गया तो फिर दुनिया भर के सिखों में रोष की लहर दौड़ेगी।

स. सिरसा ने ममता बनर्जी को एक बार फिर अपील कर कहा कि वह सिख कौम की भावनाओं का आदर करें, उनकी भाजपा के साथ लड़ाई का सिख कौम से कोई लेना देना नहीं है और पूर्व सिख सैनिक को बिना शर्त तुरंत रिहा कर दस्तार व केसों की बेअदबी करने वाले दोषी पुलिस मुलाज़िमों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई की जानी चाहिए।

स. सिरसा की अगुवाई में प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने रछपाल सिंह पूर्व मंत्री व मौजूदा एम.एल.ए और चेयरमैन पश्चिम बंगाल परिवहन निगम को मिल कर उन्हें भी अपील की कि पश्चिम बंगाल सरकार इस मामले में तुरंत कार्रवाई करते हुए बलविंदर सिंह को रिहा करे और दोषी पुलिस मुलाजिमों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई की जाए।

High Level Delegation Led by Manjinder Singh Sirsa Takes Up Issue With West Bengal Governor

West Bengal Governor Jagroop Dhankhar today asked the Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee to immediately release arrested ex Para Military soldier Balwinder Singh who was brutally assaulted, his turban was tossed and he was pulled by his hair by Kolkata police. The Governor also asked the CM to also immediately apologize to Sikh community for act of  state police.

He himself disclosed this to a high level delegation led by the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) President Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa which met him to take up this issue.

The Governor also disclosed that he has taken up this issue with the CM today morning at 10.55 AM and talked to her for almost 20 minutes. He said that his feelings were further hurt when he read a tweet by the state Home Ministry which justified action against Balwinder Singh claiming that everything is being done as per law.

Governor also told delegation that he has asked the Chief Minister to take action against guilty police officials who meted inhuman treatment to Balwinder Singh. 

He said that it is most painful and disgusting to see that members of a community whose members also lead in safeguarding borders of the country are being treated like this. He assured the delegation that he will forward memorandum submitted by the delegation to the state government and will ask for prompt action.

Earlier Mr. Sirsa told the Governor that police has illegally arrested Balwinder Singh as he already has an All India license of his weapon. He said that most shocking is behavior of police today as it was first assuring on bail of Balwinder Singh but later sought 10 day further police remand in the court which the latter granted for 8 days.

Mr. Sirsa also told him that when Balwinder Singh was taken to court today he was held by 20 police personnel as if he is a terrorist. He said that it is universal truth that he was working with Para Military forces and was deputed in Jammu and Kashmir and in the NSG as commando.

Earlier speaking to media after meeting Balwinder Singh, Mr. Sirsa disclosed the he is in high spirits and the DSGMC and the Sikh community will do everything necessary including filing case in court to get justice for him. He said that it is battle for justice and we will emerge victorious in this battle against oppression by the Kolkata police.

Earlier on reaching here, Mr. Sirsa and other members of the delegation were warmly welcomed by the community members at the airport.

In this high level delegation Delhi Gurdwara committee member Sarvjeet Singh Virk and Paramjeet Singh Chandhok were also also present along with Mr. Sirsa .

All party Sikh Co-ordination Committee (APSCC) Protest at Srinagar Press Colony, Against Discrimination With Their Community

In a peaceful demonstration, Kashmiri Sikh community members belonging to All Party Sikh Co-ordination Commitee (APSCC) highlighted that their community has been given a step-motherly treatment by the UT’s administration and Central Government at large.

After Pandits, Sikhs are the second minority community in the state. According to official data, the Sikh population in Jammu and Kashmir is 2.03% – with 0.88% in the Kashmir division. Expressing indignation, Sikh community leaders had said many times earlier that their grievances have remained unaddressed for long.

Among their major demands – for which the community says they have been fighting for decades – are the extension of the Minority Community Act to the state and the introduction of Punjabi language in schools and colleges.

They have also voiced many times about their worsening economic conditions.“Does government announce any special ration supply for us like they do during other festivals? Do they know whether the Sikhs have essential commodities like rice, sugar etc at home? Do they care for us.”

In Tral area, around 26 villages house Sikh families, some are even Sikh dominated. “The condition of most of the roads leading to Sikh-dominated villages is terrible. When we go to government offices with our demands, we often receive a cold response,” they had claimed.

“Our private sector is weak. The government hasn’t given us any employment quota. Where will our children go? Those who are wealthy send their kids outside Kashmir. It is poor people like us who face hardships every day.”

“We have MBA, M.Sc., M.A., and even PhD degree holders seeking jobs for years. They rarely earn their livelihood. We don’t have any reservation category. By not addressing our problems, the government is forcing us to migrate from the Valley.”

नई दिल्ली, 10 अक्टूबरः धर्म प्रचार कमेटी, दिल्ली सिख गुरुद्वारा प्रबंधक कमेटी द्वारा माई भागो ब्रिगेड के सहयोग से भाई तारू सिंह जी का 300वां जन्म दिवस मनाते हुए विशेष गुरमति समागम गुरुद्वारा बंगला साहिब में करवाया गया। दिल्ली सिख गुरुद्वारा प्रबंधक कमेटी के महासचिव एवं शिरोमणि अकाली दल दिल्ली इकाई के अध्यक्ष स. हरमीत सिंह कालका, स्त्री अकाली दल दिल्ली इकाई की अध्यक्ष बीबी रणजीत कौर और कमेटी के धर्म प्रचार के मुखी जतिन्द्रपाल सिंह ने विशेष तौर पर पहुंच कर संगतों के दर्शन किए और गुरमति विचारों से परिचित करवाया।

इस मौके पर भाई चमनजीत सिंह जी दिल्ली वालों जथे की तरफ से गुरबाणी कीर्तन, गुरुद्वारा बंगला साहिब के हैड ग्रंथी भाई रणजीत सिंह जी ने कथा और भाई महल सिंह जी चंडीगढ़ वालों ने काव्यिक वारों के माध्यम से भाई तारू सिंह जी के जीवन पर प्रकाश डाला।

स. कालका ने कहा कि मैं दावे से कहता हूं कि अगर हम छोटी उम्र से ही अपने बच्चों को भाई तारू सिंह जी के जीवन के बारे में बतायें कि कैसे उन्होंने अपने केसों की बेअदबी नहीं होने दी बल्कि अपनी खोपड़ी उतरवा दी तो बच्चे कभी भी गुरसिखी जीवन का त्याग नहीं कर सकते, कभी सिखी से दूर नहीं जा सकते और ना ही कभी अपने केसों की बेअदबी कर सकते हैं।

बीबी रणजीत कौर ने बताया कि स्त्री अकाली दल द्वारा माई भागो ब्रिगेड बनाने के बाद कमेटी ने शहीदों के दिन मनाने की सेवा हमारी झोली में डाली है। उन्होंने बताया कि माई भागो ब्रिगेड द्वारा पेंटिंग और क्विज़ मुकाबले आनलाईन करवाये गये जिसमें 1800 के करीब बच्चों ने भाग लेकर भाई तारू सिंह जी के जीवन पर पेंटिंग बना कर भेजीं और क्विज़ मुकाबले में भी बढ़ चढ़ कर हिस्सा लिया।
स. जतिन्द्रपाल सिंह ने कहा कि हम रोज़ाना जितनी बार भी अरदास करते हैं, भाई तारू सिंह जी को याद करते हैं कि उन्होंने सिखी की खातिर अपनी खोपड़ी उतरवाई जो कि बिना गुरु की बख्शिश के नहीं हो सकता। इस मौके पर प्रबंधकों द्वारा भाई तारू सिंह जी के जन्म दिवस की समूह संगतों को बधाईयां दी गईं। इस मौके पर दिल्ली कमेटी सदस्य एवं अन्य गणमान्य शख्सीयतें जिनमें परमजीत सिंह चंडोक, ओंकार सिंह राजा, सुखविंदर सिंह बब्बर, सतनाम सिंह मारवा विशेष तौर पर मौजूद रहे।

सिख अफसर बलविंदर सिंह को तुरंत रिहा कर उनकी दस्तार व केसों की बेअदबी करने वालों के खिलाफ केस दर्ज हो

नई दिल्ली, 10 अक्टूबरः दिल्ली सिख गुरुद्वारा प्रबंधक कमेटी के अध्यक्ष स. मनजिंदर सिंह सिरसा व महासचिव स. हरमीत सिंह कालका ने पश्चिम बंगाल में कोलकाता पुलिस द्वारा सिख अफसर बलविंदर सिंह के साथ मारपीट किए जाने की ज़ोरदार निंदा करते हुए उन्हें तुरंत रिहा करने व उनकी दस्तार और केसों की बेअदबी करने वाले पुलिस मुलाज़िमों के खिलाफ केस दर्ज करने की मांग की है।

यहां एक प्रैस कान्फ्रेंस को संबोधित करते हुए स. सिरसा व स. कालका ने कहा कि पिछले तीन दिनों से कोलकाता पुलिस ने सरदार बलविंदर सिंह पर बहुत ही अत्याचार एवं शर्मसार करने वाला हमला किया। उनकी दस्तार उतारी गई, सार्वजनिक तौर पर उनसे मारपीट की गई और बालों से पकड़ कर घसीटा गया।

उन्होंने बताया कि बलविंदर सिंह अर्धसैनिक बल के जाबाज़ हैं जिन्होंने जम्मू कश्मीर में व एन.एस.जी में सेवाएं दी हैं। एक सैनिक जिसने देश के लिए लड़ाई लड़ी कोलकाता पुलिस ने उन पर ही केस दर्ज कर दिया, उन्हें हवालात में रखा है। उनके परिवार के मुताबिक उनका हथियार लाईसेंस वाला है जो जम्मू कश्मीर से बना और कोलकाता में भी रजिस्टर करवाया गया पर इसके बावजूद पुलिस ने उन पर केस दर्ज किया। 

दोनों नेताओं ने कहा कि दिल्ली सिख गुरुद्वारा प्रबंधक कमेटी और शिरोमणि अकाली दल यह मांग करते हुए पश्चिमी बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री श्रीमति ममता बनर्जी को अपील की कि बलविंदर सिंह को तुरंत रिहा किया जाए और उनके खिलाफ सार्वजनिक तौर पर अत्याचार ढहाने वाले पुलिस मुलाज़िमों के खिलाफ धारा 295ए के तहत केस दर्ज किया जाये।

उन्होंने कहा कि ममता बनर्जी शायद यह भुल रही हैं कि जिस दस्तार की बेअदबी कोलकाता पुलिस ने की है, यह वही दस्तार है जो गुरु गोबिंद सिंह जी ने चार पुत्र कुर्बान कर हमें दी। इसे पहन कर ही भगत सिंह ने देश के लिए कुर्बानी दी, बाबा बंदा सिंह बहादुर ने देश के लिए लड़ाई लड़ी, रबिन्द्रनाथ टैगोर ने भी इसके उस्तति की और जनरल जगजीत सिंह अरोड़ा ने पश्चिम बंगल के रास्ते जा कर पाकिस्तान के 90 हज़ार सैनिकों को सरेंडर करवाया।

उन्होंने कहा कि अगर ममता बनर्जी ने हमारी बात नहीं मानी तो हम सड़कों पर उतरने के लिए मजबूर होंगे।

हम बेनती करते हैं कि बलविंदर सिंह को इन्साफ दिया जाए। उनके खिलाफ केस खारिज किया जाये और उन पर अत्याचार ढहाने वालों के खिलाफ केस दर्ज किया जाये। उन्होंने कहा कि हम उनके लिए लड़ाई लड़ते रहेंगे जरूरत पड़ने पर कोलकाता भी जायेंगे ओर इन्साफ जरूर दिलाएंगे।

Manjinder Singh Sirsa Took Serious Notice of the incident of a Sikh being Dragged Off His Hair in West Bengal

Manjinder Singh Sirsa ,DSGMCPresident  has taken serious note of the incident of a Sikh being stripped of his turban and dragged by his hair in Kolkata. He has asked West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to take immediate action by registering a case against the police officers responsible for the incident. 

It is a very shameful and painful incident.This  incident has hurt Sikh religious sentiments all over the world.

Manjinder Singh Sirsa reminded Mamata Banerjee that this is the same turban that Guru Gobind Singh  gave us after sacrificing four sons, this is the same turban that Bhagat Singh wore and kissed the gallows for the freedom of India and this is the same turban by wearing it,Jagjit Singh Arora made 90 thousand Pakistani soldiers surrender. He said that if your police disrespect this turban like this, it is not tolerated by us.

He demanded that a case be registered against the guilty police officers under section 295A and action be taken against them and Balwinder Singh be released from jail immediately and if Mamata Banerjee did not take this action then Sikhs would be forced to struggle on this issue.

Mr. Sirsa also said that it is surprising that rather than giving justice to  Balwinder Singh,he has been sent to three days police custody which is an even more shameful act.

In any situation, disrespect of Sikh's symbols of religious faith can’t be justified and the West Bengal government needs to train its cops to act responsibly and effectively even under worst situations

MEMBERS of the Sikh community have donated “masses” of food and ingredients to a zero-waste non profit organisation which feeds people in need.

Since Covid-19 ,Gurdwara authorities  but have chosen to donate their large supply of foods and ingredients to good cause, Food For Thought Darlington, a volunteer run initiative.

During the pandemic however community meals have been postponed, but the charity’s mission to help vulnerable people continues, and since the start of lockdown, the organisation has used its event budget to purchase food vouchers for its existing recipients, and delivering food and essential packages around the town, spending around £4,500 and helping around 300 households in the town.

“We really appreciate the very generous donation from the Sikh community, and are so grateful to them. Acts of kindness such as these really are the backbone of our community.

“We received a huge selection of dried food, lentils, rice, beans, chickpeas, tea and coffee - all of which we can utilise in meals we make for the community.”

Akal Takht Makes SGPC Top Brass Sweep Sweep Street Leading To Golden Temple For Holy Bir’s Sacrilege

Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) top brass swept the street leading to supreme Sikh shrine Sri Harmandar Sahib (Darbar Sahib) from Gurdwara Saragarhi Sahib to the main entrance of the shrine her undergoing religious punishment awarded by Akal Takht Sahib for failing to check sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib in its publishing house,

The SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal along with Rajinder Singh Mehta who recently resigned as senior vice president on Takht Sahib’s order, junior vice president Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa, General secretary Harjinder Singh Dhami and executive committee members—Jagsir Singh Mangeana, Manwinder Singh Khaparkheri, Surjit Singh Kang, Sher Singh Mandwala, Bhupinder Singh Asandh, Bibi Kuldeep Kaur Tohra, Gurpal Singh Gora and Amarjit Singh Bhalaipur—appeared at Gurdwara Sargarhi Sahib and they started sweeping the street with brooms.

While they were doing so, the SGPC staff, assistants and security guard were also seen accompanying them.They will do so for two days more. 

Keeping in view of the fire incident and failure in checking the misappropriation in publishing house, the highest Sikh temporal seat on September 18 asked the SGPC top brass to hold two Akhand Paths for repentance, besides sweeping the street.

'Go Purple' Campaign :Guru Nanak Gurdwara Smethwick Turns Purple To Raise Awareness of Domestic Violence

A Sikh temple in the Black Country is turning purple this month to highlight domestic violence.

 

Guru Nanak Gurdwara Smethwick, in High Street, will light up purple each night as part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

The Gurdwara has teamed up with charitable group Black Country Women's Aid as part of the good-hearted initiative.

Purple represents the colour of the purple ribbon which is the symbol of the domestic violence awareness campaign.

Gurdwara President Jaswinder Singh said: "Lighting up the Gurdwara building in the colour purple is more than a symbolic gesture, as domestic violence has surged during the Covid-19 pandemic.

"To create change, we have to talk openly and acknowledge how domestic violence affects our communities, our families and our lives. Domestic violence cannot be ignored."

Sara Ward, chief executive of Black Country Women's Aid, said: "I am overwhelmed by the support of our friends at Guru Nanak Gurdwara Smethwick in our 'Go Purple' campaign - especially during these challenging times.

"Lighting up this beautiful building purple for a second year will show the whole community that we continue to challenge violence within the home.

"We stand together in supporting victims and we send a message of hope to all that there are safe spaces in Sandwell to get help and support."
