#JetScreen – where entertainment never ends !

Viewing movies, listening music as well as playing games on a Wi-fi network on the Flight mode on my smart phone was a great experience for me. I had to go to Bangalore for a day and a friend told me about the #JetScreen on the Jet Airways flight.

As instructed, I downloaded the Airtime player on my mobile and boarded the flight in the early morning. It was a journey of around two and a half hours and I was really worried that in case #JetScreen was not up to my expectations, I will get bored.

Once in the air, I took my mobile and opened the Airtime player. Clicking on the Access button took me immediately to a Menu that gave me four options. The options were Movies, Music, TV shorts and the Games.

I clicked movies and a submenu opened with various options. I selected a movie and started watching. The video was quite clear. The sound was good. In fact, I had to slow down the volume of my mobile as my Co passenger was in a mood to sleep.

I also tried my hands on the Games section that also offered various options. I was playing various games, one after another, as a small child. Time was also flying, along with me in the plane, and it was not at all boring in any manner. In fact, it was a real entertainment while on-board.

I checked into the music section of the #jetScreen and there too, so many options were available. I listened to different types of songs and music for some time and enjoyed. Lastly, I viewed a few trailers in the TV short section. They looked really good and fun filled.

I was still busy on the #JetScreen when our pilot made the announcement to tighten the belts as we had to land in Bangalore. In the evening I boarded another flight for Delhi with an expectation that this will again offer me the Entertainment. But this time #JetScreen facility was not there. I checked my mobile so many times for the Wi-fi connectivity, but it was not available.

It was a sad feeling as while going to Bangalore, I had really enjoyed the movies and various games. But while moving back it was not available & was quite boring. It became quite difficult for me to pass those two and a half hours of the journey.

Anyhow, I have decided, that now onwards I will catch a flight with #JetScreen only and not otherwise as it is quite entertaining. If you don’t want to get bored while on-board, you too must try a Jet Airways flight with the #JetScreen. Believe me, it will be a great fun and entertainment for you and also for your entire family if moving together.

देश की पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री इंदिरा गांधी की हत्या एवं उसके बाद हुए सिखों के कत्लेआम के कारणों एवं परिणामों से रूबरू करवाती फिल्म ‘‘31 अक्टूबर’’ के अदाकारों द्वारा गुरुद्वारा बंगला साहिब में माथा टेका गया। दिल्ली सिख गुरुद्वारा प्रबंधक कमेटी के अध्यक्ष मनजीत सिंह जी.के. एवं महासचिव मनजिन्दर सिंह सिरसा ने फिल्म में कत्लेआम की पीड़ित सिख महिला का किरदार निभाने वाली बालीवुड की अदाकारा सोहा अली खान को सिरोपा देकर सम्मानित किया। 

माथा टेकने के बाद फिल्म की टीम एवं दिल्ली कमेटी के नेताओं ने गुरुद्वारा बंगला साहिब से ‘‘मोमबती मार्च’’ जन्तर-मन्तर तक ‘‘इन्साफ की आवाज’’ बुलन्द करने के लिये निकाला। जी.के. ने कहा कि इंदिरा गांधी के कत्ल के बाद सिखों का हुआ कत्लेआम दुनिया के सबसे बड़े लोकतंत्र पर बदनुमा दाग है। फिल्म के निर्माता हैरी सचदेवा द्वारा इस संवेदनशील मसले पर फिल्म बनाने के लिये गये फैसले की भी उन्होंने प्रशंसा की।

सिरसा ने कहा कि 1984 का सरकारी कत्लेआम सिख इतिहास का बड़ा दुखांत है इसलिए उक्त मसले पर सिखों के साथ हमदर्दी जताने वाले सही मायनों में सिखों के शुभचिन्तक हैं। यहां बता दें कि सोहा अली खान ने एक सिख परिवार की सच्ची कहानी पर आधारित उक्त फिल्म में कत्लेआम पीड़ितों के दुख को बाखूबी ब्यान करने की कोशिश की है। भारतीय जनता पार्टी के सांसद तथा भोजपुरी फिल्म के सुपरस्टार मनोज तिवारी ने भी इस अवसर पर गुरुद्वारा बंगला साहिब के दफ्तर पहुंच कर सोहा अली खान के साथ मुलाकात कर इस विषय पर कार्य करने के लिए सराहना की। 

हैरी सचदेवा ने कुछ राजनीतिक दलों द्वारा फिल्म के प्रदर्शन को रोकने के लिए की जा रही कानूनी कार्यवाही को गैरजरूरी बताते हुए फिल्म की कहानी पूरी तरह से मानवता की दर्द पर आधारित होने का दावा किया। इस अवसर पर दिल्ली कमेटी के उपाध्यक्ष सतपाल सिंह, धर्मप्रचार कमेटी चेयरमैन परमजीत सिंह राणा, कमेटी सदस्य तनवंत सिंह, परमजीत सिंह चंढ़ोक, जस्टिस फॉर विक्टिमस की प्रमुख निरप्रीत कौर, अकाली नेता खुशविन्दर सिंह मोनूवालिया, अवनीत सिंह रायसन तथा देवनगर खालसा कॉलेज छात्रसंध अध्यक्ष अभिषेक शर्मा भी मौजूद थे।

The essence of true friendship

I am a Social activist with the sole aim of serving the society. Truly, it’s difficult to get real friends who are eager to join you in such kind of endeavours as there are no lavish parties, no drinks, no dance and nothing of that sort. Instead, you have to spend time while serving others in one or other way.

Luckily, I got certain good and true friends, who are always there to stand with me. One such person is Vinod who regularly organises the Blood donation camps and you can find a large number of persons donating blood in those camps. He himself has donated blood for over 50 times till date.

Once I got an urgent message from some unknown person that he was in dire need of the few units of Blood that was rarely available. We got the samples and tried our level best in arranging the blood for his father who was suffering from Prostate cancer at a Govt hospital. We can never forget the tears that we saw in the eyes while we handed him the blood units.

One of my other very close friends is Sandeep. He is a joyful person and always aggressive in doing something for the society. We all work together as a team. You can call him any time, i.e. day or night and he rarely says no. He reaches the spot exactly on time without a single shrink in his face. We are always together on any issue that may be Power, Sanitation, Water logging, Drinking water, Environment, Pollution or even Dengue & Chikungunya.

I still remember a person who was not being admitted in a Govt hospital on one pretext or other. He called me and we reached the spot within minutes. We tried our best to help him, but the hospital administration looked in no mood. So we had to force the CMO of the hospital through our contacts and the patient was admitted. We get the real fun and enjoyment, when we are there to serve the persons in dire need.

In my opinion, the essence of true friendship is not in sipping whisky by sitting together in the evening, but by working openly for the society, being together. It’s really difficult to get such kind of true friends, but I am pleased to say that we have such good and true friends who are very close to each other.

This closeness is similar to the closeness of Amitabh and Shatrughan Sinha who will now be visible on a new TV show @ZeeTv along with many other in the Fun filled evenings from 8^th of October. It’s truly the double pleasure in viewing such programmes when you are free at home after serving the society. Must view the grand fun filled show Yaroon Ki Baraat on Zee TV as it will strengthen the bonds of true friendship amongst all of us.

दिल्ली सचिवालय से धक्के मारकर बाहर निकाले गये विकलांग को दिल्ली कमेटी ने व्हील-चेयर दी

कमेटी ने ‘‘सरबत का भला’’ के सिद्धांत पर पहरा देने की हमेशा कोशिश की : जी.के.

दिल्ली सचिवालय में नई व्हील-चेयर देने की मांग करने के लिए बीते दिनों पहुंचे विकलांग राजा भईया अहीरवाल को सचिवालय से धक्केमार के बाहर निकाल दिया गया था। विकलांग के साथ हुई बदसुलूकी की वीडियों किसी व्यक्ति ने बनाकर सोशल मीडिया पर वॉयरल कर दी थी। जिसके बाद दिल्ली सिख गुरुद्वारा प्रबंधक कमेटी के अध्यक्ष मनजीत सिंह जी.के. द्वारा विकलांग को व्हील-चेयर देने की पेशकश मीडिया के माध्यम से की गई थी। विकलांग द्वारा कमेटी को व्हील-चेयर देने का आवेदन प्राप्त होने के बाद अब कमेटी के वरिष्ठ उपाध्यक्ष महिन्दर सिंह चड्डा ने व्हील-चेयर सौंपने की रस्म निभाई। 

जी.के. ने कहा कि दिल्ली कमेटी ने हमेशा ही गुरू की गोलक के सहारे जरूरतमंदों की मदद के दौरान किसी जाति, धर्म या समुदाय में भेदभाव ना करते हुए सहायता देते समय गुरू साहिब द्वारा बख्शे गये ‘‘सरबत के भले’’ के सिद्धांत पर पहरा देने की कोशिश की है। गुरुद्वारा कमेटीयों का बजट बेशक सरकारों से कई गुना कम होगा पर सिखों का दिल हमेशा ही सब से बड़ा रहा है। 

इस अवसर पर कमेटी के मुख्य सलाहकार कुलमोहन सिंह, कमेटी के सदस्य परमजीत सिंह चंडोक, कानूनी विभाग प्रमुख जसविन्दर सिंह जौली एवं अकाली नेता विक्रम सिंह मौजूद थे।

माता साहिब कौर स्त्री सम्मेलन में वक्ताओं ने स्त्रियों को पंथ संभालने के लिए दिया आमंत्रण

खालसा की माता साहिब कौर जी की याद में आयोजित हुआ ‘‘माता 

साहिब कौर जी स्त्री संम्मेलन’’ सिख बीबीयों के उत्साही एवं धर्मप्रेमी होने का संदेश देते हुए नई सुगंध को बिखेर गया। दिल्ली सिख गुरुद्वारा प्रबंधक कमेटी के प्रयास से श्री गुरु गोबिन्द सिंह जी के 350वें प्रकाश पर्व के अवसर पर स्त्रियों को सामाजिक एवं राजनीतिक आत्मनिर्भर बनाने की पैरवी करने के लिए गुरुद्वारा रकाबगंज साहिब के भाई लक्खीशाह वणजारा हाल में हजारों की तादात में लगी ‘‘स्त्रियों की कचहरी’’ सफेद एवं पीले दुप्पटों के लिये लंबे समय तक याद रखी जायेगी। दिल्ली की समूह स्त्री सत्संग सभाओं, सुखमनी सेवा सोसाईटी एवं स्त्री अकाली दल की कार्यकर्ताओं ने अपनी भारी मौजूदगी से राजनीतिक पार्टीओं को स्त्रियों को कमजोर ना समझने का संदेश दे दिया। 

दिल्ली के इतिहास में पहली बार सजाई गई उक्त पंथक कचहरी में स्त्रियों ने पंथ की चढ़दीकला एवं उत्साह को दर्शाने के तौर पर अलग-अलग वक्ताओं के बोलने के दौरान लगभग 30 बार ऊंची आवाज में जयकारे छोड़े। अध्यक्ष मनजीत सिंह जी.के., पूर्व कमेटी अध्यक्ष अवतार सिंह हित, मुख्य सलाहकार कुलमोहन सिंह, धर्मप्रचार कमेटी चेयरमैन परमजीत सिंह राणा एवं गुरबाणी विरसा संभाल सत्संग सभा की प्रधान नरेन्द्र कौर ने माता साहिब कौर के जीवन पर प्रकाश डालने के साथ ही पंथ के सामने मौजूदा चुनौतियों पर भी अपने विचार रखे। कमेटी के संयुक्त सचिव अमरजीत सिंह फतेह नगर ने संगतों के बड़ी तादात में आने के लिए धन्यवाद किया। पूर्व विधायक हरमीत सिंह कालका ने स्टेज सचिव की सेवा निभाने के दौरान कमेटी द्वारा किये गये कार्यो पर भी रौशनी डाली। 

जी.के. ने स्त्रियों के बड़ी संख्यां में आने के कारण कमेटी प्रबंधों में हुई कमियों के लिए संगतों से माफी मांगते हुए सिख इतिहास में धर्म को संभालने के लिए स्त्रियों द्वारा किये गये यत्नों का जिक्र किया। जी.के. ने कहा कि कौम में बड़े स्तर पर धर्मप्रचार के कार्य कमेटीयों द्वारा करवाये गये जा रहे हैं एवं कोई भी प्रचारक नौजवानों को चुटिया रखकर टोपी पहनने या हुक्का पीने की प्रेरणा नहीं करता है। इसे संभालने के लिए स्त्रियों को आगे आने की आवश्यकता है। कमेटी द्वारा किये गये कार्यो का विवरण देने के दौरान जी.के. ने 6वें वेतन आयोग के कमेटी के सिर चढ़े 170 करोड़ रूपये का कर्ज का जिक्र करने की भी विरोधी नेताओं को ताड़ना की।

जी.के. ने स्त्रियों को सचेत करते हुए कहा कि जिन लोगों ने पहले श्री अकाल तख्त साहिब को मलियामेट किया था आज वह पंथ प्रमाणित बाणीयों का मलियामेट करने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं। पुराने प्रबंधकों द्वारा स्कूलों में अतिरिक्त भर्ती किये गये 450 कर्मचारियों को नौकरी से निकालने की बजाये उच्चस्तरीय टीचर ट्रेनिंग तकनीक द्वारा काबिल बनाने के लिए जी.के. ने कमेटी की पीठ भी थपथपाई। जी.के. ने कहा कि कमेटी स्कूलों में पहले 6 महीने वेतन नहीं मिलता था पर अब पहली तारीख को स्टाफ के खाते में वेतन पहुंच जाता है। देवनगर खालसा स्कूल की कारसेवा दमदमी टकसाल को दिये जाने का हवाला देते हुए जी.के. ने पुराने प्रबंधकों पर कटाक्ष भी किया। जी.के. ने कहा कि ‘‘इस स्कूल से पढ़ कर अध्यक्ष बनने वाले अपने कार्यकाल के दौरान एक चम्मच सींमेंट भी स्कूल पर नहीं लगा सके। 

गुरू सहिब के प्रकाश पर्व के अर्धशताब्दी समागमों को मनाने के लिए कमेटी द्वारा की जा रहे तैयारियों की भी जी.के. ने जानकारी दी। कमेटी द्वारा बाबा बंदा सिंह बहादर की तीसरी शहीदी शताब्दी के अवसर पर नई बनाई गई पालकी साहिब पटना कमेटी द्वारा यात्रा निकालने के लिए कमेटी द्वारा भेजे जाने को जी.के. ने दिल्ली की संगतों का सम्मान बढ़ाने वाला फैसला बताया। उक्त पालकी साहिब के साथ देश में लगभग 6 हजार किलोमीटर की यात्रा नगर कीर्तन के तौर पर सजाये जाने का गवाह बनने जा रहे कमेटी स्टाफ को जी.के. ने सम्मानित भी किया। 

हित ने स्त्रियों की सभा को सच की सभा करार देते हुए विरोधियों  पर तीखे शब्दी हमले किये। हित ने कहा कि काम कोई करता है और शोर कोई करता है। हित ने स्त्रियों को सरकारी ऐजंटों को पहचानने का संदेश देते हुए पंथ एव सच के साथ खड़े होने की विनती भी की। कुलमोहन सिंह ने सिख इतिहास का हवाला देते हुए स्त्रियों को इतिहास संभालने की अपील की। राणा ने निंदकों द्वारा स्त्रियों के खिलाफ किये जा रहे प्रचार को झूठा प्रचार बताते हुए कई सवाल भी उठाये। राणा ने कहा कि 2 गुरुपर्व मनाने वाले अब 2 बाणीयों  में कौम को बांटने की साजिश रच रहें हैं तथा श्री अकाल तख्त साहिब पर जत्थेदार के रूप में रहे लोग बागीयों का साथ दे रहें हैं। इस अवसर पर दिल्ली कमेटी के सभी पदाधिकारी व सदस्य तथा स्त्री अकाली दल की सरप्रस्त प्रकाश कौर, रणजीत कौर, नरेन्द्र कौर सहित बड़ी संख्या में महिलायें शामिल थी।
