Manjinder Singh Sirsa Gets Status of State Minister in Punjab

Manjinder Singh Sirsa gets status of State Minister in Punjab
New Delhi, 1 June

Manjinder Singh Sirsa, 'advisor' to Punjab's deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, was today granted the status of a state minister by the chief minister of the state Parkash Singh Badal. Disclosing this information, a spokesperson of chief minister office said that Parkash Singh Badal today signed the concerned file, thereby approving such status to Sirsa.

Sirsa is also the elected general secretary of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee and had defeated the erstwhile president of the committee Paramjit Singh Sarna by a record margin. He is perceived to be an honest, energetic and instant decision taker. Owing to such qualities of Sirsa, he had been practically been an advisor to the deputy chief minister of Punjab for a long time. However, he was formally designated as the same in the month of April this year and now he has been provided with the status of a state minister, which will aid him in greater participation in the state government's day-to-day functioning.

The news of  Sirsa being granted the status of a state minister is being welcomed by DSGMC president Manjit Singh G.K. and the Sikh circles of Delhi.
