A group of 49 Sikh pilgrims from Pakistan arrived in India today on 8th October 2026 to visit Sikh Gurdwaras. The group was warmly welcomed at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport by Sardar Jagdip Singh Kahlon, General Secretary of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, and Sardar Paramjit Singh Chandok, the Committee's Foreign Affairs Advisor.
Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee President Sardar Harmeet Singh Kalka, General Secretary Sardar Jagdip Singh Kahlon and Foreign Affairs Advisor Sardar Paramjit Singh Chandok said that they are very happy that a group of 49 devotees from Pakistan has reached India today, who will visit various Gurudwaras here.
President Harmeet Singh Kalka said that the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management
Committee has made extensive arrangements for the accommodation and visits to
various Gurdwaras for all the members of the group. He added that the group
members will visit the historic Gurdwara Sahibs in Delhi as well as pay
obeisance at the Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib (Sri Darbar Sahib) in Sri
Amritsar Sahib.
He said that it is a matter of great joy that this group from Pakistan has been granted permission to visit the Gurdwaras in India. He expressed hope that in the future, more and more Sikh pilgrims will have the opportunity to visit India and visit their sacred Gurdwaras.
Sardar Harmeet Singh Kalka, Sardar Jagdip Singh Kahlon and Sardar Paramjit Singh Chandok assured all the members of the group that all necessary facilities including accommodation, transportation and darshan of Gurudwaras will be provided by the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, so that the devotees do not face any kind of problem during their religious journey.
