Sikh Siyasat management has written to five internet service providers who have blocked the website sikhsiyasat.net in Punjab and India.

According to Sikh Siyasat (SS), the website is not accessible to users of BSNL FTTH, BSNL Cellular, Jio 4G & Jio Fibre, Airtel and Connect Broadband.
SS has asked, “If any governmental authority has sent any order/direction/circular/notice directing to block the access to the URL sikhsiyasat.net, then that should be immediately communicated to me so that corrective action can be taken.”
SS has called the step by the companies illegal and unlawful. It seeks “the authority under the IT Act or any other applicable law under which you have taken such action.” It further adds that a response must be given within 72 hours, failing which “we will be constrained to take legal action.”
According to SS, ‘sikhsiyasat.net’ shows have been blocked in parts of Punjab and India since June 6 though it is working in all other countries.
They added that no notice was served by any governmental authority or the ISPs.
“Should we not get a reply within the reasonable time of 72 hours, we will initiate legal proceedings against the erring companies,” said SSN editor Parmjeet Singh.

"Sikhs living in the country are leading prosperous lives. Why would they want a Khalistan? Nobody wants it and I do not want it," said Singh while replying to a question on Khalistan during a press conference. Singh said every Sikh always stood for the unity and integrity of the country.
“Do you know how many Sikh soldiers we have? They sacrifice their lives for the country. We fight for our country and this is our country," said Singh.
On June 6, Akal Takht jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh had said, "The Sikh community will accept Khalistan, a separate state for Sikhs, if the government offers it."
The jathedar (head priest) of Akal Takht (the highest temporal seat of Sikhs) had raked up the Khalistan issue on the 36th anniversary of Operation Bluestar, which was carried out in 1984 to flush out heavily armed terrorists holed up in the Golden Temple.

Ganiv Kaur: Topped Army’s JAG Merit List, 4th Generation Officer In Family

Ganiv Kaur: Topped Army's JAG Merit List, 4th Generation Officer ...
 Ganiv Kaur with her Parents

As a lawyer, Jammu’s Ganiv Kaur and pictured herself working for a fancy MNC in the future. Things, however, changed for the youngster when unexpectedly, her father asked her to fill out a form for a job, which admittedly she had never thought of, she wrote in a blog post. At the point, it came as a surprise, but she persevered, and how!

Kaur was asked to fill out the form to enter into the Indian Army through the Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Department, which is the legal branch of the Army. She mentions that during the preparations, she “freaked out, felt drained, frustrated, distressed”. Studying for the exams after working for eight hours took a toll on her, but she put in her all to grab the opportunity coming her way.

And her hard work paid off. In her year, when the results were announced in February 2018, she had topped the merit list of the JAG Branch (Women) of Indian Army. Proud of the culture of the city she belongs to—Jammu—Kaur is the fourth-generation officer from her family to don the prestigious uniform and the first woman from Jammu to have topped the merit list.

Kaur’s father is a Sena Medal recipient, Col Harjinder Singh, and her mother is a teacher. The proud parents, always encouraging their daughter, are happy of her achievement and the effort she put in, as she cleared the tough examination in the first attempt.

“The love for my country runs in the blood of my family and I took it [as a] challenge to wear the uniform which my forefathers have been wearing,” Kaur told a portal after the results were declared. A voracious reader, Kaur used to maintain a blog and is a keen sportswoman. And as she puts it, “In the long run, you seek clarity not control, certainty over courage.”

Gurmukhi Learning Game :The hope for this Project is that a love for Gurbani will continue to grow in the hearts of all the children

Mr.Yadvinder Singh : It it with the grace of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji that our

home has been blessed with the Gurmukhi Scrabble Stickers project!
This is a tool that each family can use to :
· Spend time together
· Build our Punjabi vocabulary together
· Practice singing Gurbani together based on the words created
· Practice math skills if you would like to write out and calculate scores as you play
Skillofun Punjabi Alphabet Picture Tray Price in India - Buy ...
First, you will need your own copy of Scrabble. Next, I have about 80 Gurmukhi Scrabble letter tile sticker sheets available that are sized to match the Scrabble game tiles. Once they arrive at your home, you will be required to peel off each one and place it on the back of each scrabble tile to create a 2 in 1 English/Gurmukhi Scrabble game which you can play almost just like the original scrabble game.
If you’d like to know how I would offer you to play here are some suggestions:
You can use a dry-erase marker to draw on the matras or just tell the players where you would put the matras.
After words are created I’d offer the suggestion that we can elaborate by talking about the words created and also if possible sing lines of Gurbani if the word you made is from Gurbani or share stories and lessons.
The hope for this project is that a love for Gurbani will continue to grow in the hearts of all the children.
Here is the main place to request a copy of the stickers (https://sikhnetpunjabble.carrd.co/) and our family will try to send it out on fridays as a seva.

"You'll Never Walk Alone" : Malaysian Gursikh family's 'Classical' Indian Rendition of Liverpool Anthem

Gurmukh singh and his family dedicate their unique rendition of their club’s song to celebrate Liverpool’s Premier League Win.

As a Liverpool FC fan for over 40 years, lawyer Gurmukh Singh was over the moon when his favourite football team finally became Premier League champions for the 19th time last week.
To mark the occasion, Gurmukh gathered his "troupe" together - his wife Inderjit Kaur, daughters Gursimer Kaur, 19, and Kavelnain Kaur, 21, and his son, Gurishver Singh, 15, (a die-hard Manchester United fan who joined his family reluctantly) - and, together, they performed a unique Indian "semi-classical" rendition of the Liverpool anthem You'll Never Walk Alone.

They wore red, of course, (even their pet dog, Argon) and, Gurmukh, who played the harmonium, proudly had his Liverpool scarf draped over his shoulder. Gurishver couldn't resist wearing his United scarf over his kurta.
Gurmukh, 54, recorded the song, posted the video on his Facebook page yesterday, and in just a day, the recording has garnered almost 1.6 thousand likes and been shared over 1,000 times.
"I had to do it. I've wanted to put a traditional Indian spin on this song for some time now, but never got around to it. What better time than now, right?" says Gurmukh, who has been supporting Liverpool since he was in Standard Five.
Liverpool are Premier League champions, ending a long wait for glory
"I'm into spirituality and religion. But, I must say, witnessing Liverpool emerge as Premier League champs again after so long was right up there as a kind of spiritual experience. It's an indescribable feeling," he adds.
There was not much practice involved in the family recording of You'll Never Walk Alone, admits Gurmukh. However, the family often sings kirtans (devotional songs) together at home.
"We just went through it for five minutes or so before recording it. We never expected it to get so much attention. Absolutely not. I guess that's just the vast, global following that Liverpool has," he adds.

"Fuel priceS Prices Increased  20 Times  In Three  Mnths’ : Congress activists hold agitation across Punjab

Punjab Congress president Sunil Jakhar said, “The tractor, an instrument of change that brought about the green revolution, has become a cart for farmers as they cannot afford the high prices of diesel.” “The Centre should applaud the work done by the farmers amid the Covid-crisis as Punjab has produced a bumper wheat crop of 1.27 lakh tones. Instead, the BJP has passed anti-farmer ordinances,” the Congress leader said.
“The prices of fuel have been steadily rising over the last three weeks as the central government has been imposing excise duty on fuel. Thus, for the first time the prices of diesel have exceeded that of petrol,” he said.
“When the Congress was in power in 2014, the price of crude oil was 104 dollars per barrel and the price of diesel was Rs 63 per litre. Now, crude oil is hardly 40 dollars per barrel but still the price of diesel has reached Rs 80,” he said, demanding an explanation from the Modi government.
Congress leader Daman Thind Bajwa said businesses had been badly affected due to Covid-19 over the past three months but the government of India had hiked petrol and diesel prices instead of helping the citizens.“The hike in diesel prices will directly affect farmers, who are already under debt, during the paddy season,” Bajwa said.
