Senior Advocate Amarjit Singh Chandiok who is the “President elect” of Bar Association of India will replace Dr. Lalit Bhasin as its President – a post which was held by great legal luminaries including M C Setalvad and Fali Nariman.
He has been the
President of Delhi High Court Bar Association for six terms, which is a record.
A former Additional Solicitor General of India, Amarjit was also Principal
Counsel to the European Union Commission from August 2013 to March 2016. He was
the only Indian lawyer who held that position so far.

organization aiming excellence in the development of law and conflict
resolution. He is Vice - Chairman of Society of Insolvency Practitioners of
India and Member, Advisory Committee of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of
India.

Group under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India.
We hope that
under his able guidance “Bar Association of India” will continue its endeavours
for the welfare of legal fraternity. Very well deserved.
