Singh Bindra informed that the government has given permission to reopen the
gates of Sri Hemkunt Sahib.
Every year, hundreds of thousands of pilgrims from all corners of the world come to pay obeisance at Sri Hemkunt Sahib to receive blessings of Guru Sahib.
Situated at an altitude of 15,197 feet, Sri Hemkunt Sahib is a Sikh shrine in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, India. It is devoted to Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Sikh master, and finds mention in the Dasam Granth. With its setting of a glacial lake surrounded by seven mountain peaks, each adorned by a Nishan Sahib on its cliff.
