Kejriwal Government is Misleading People on Punjabi Language and Sikh Victims Issues: Manjinder Singh Sirsa

"Punjabi teachers should be appointed permanently and Punjabi language should be made a compulsory subject"

Kejriwal government is indulging in misleading actions about issue of promotion of Punjabi language in Delhi in order to show off before the voters of Punjab, while it should take concrete and relevant steps for the development of Punjabi language. These words were expressed in a press statement issued here by Sh. Manjinder Singh Sirsa, the general secretary of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee and the Minister of State, Punjab government.

Sh.Sirsa stated that he had been providing factual information to Kejriwal government through a number of letters and with the help of media, about the problems being faced by the students and teacher of Punjabi language subject in Delhi. Due to the pressure created on Kejriwal government, it slightly increased the salaries of Punjabi teachers under compulsion and has tried to absolve itself of the issue on the basis of this sham action. While the need of the hour was that these contract teachers, who had been teaching Punjabi in government schools for many years, should have been permanently appointed and provided with equal salaries and other allowances. The few government schools where there were permanent teachers of Punjabi subject, the posts of these teachers are lying vacant ever since the retirement of such teachers but the government is not taking any step to fill these vacant posts. Besides, in spite of repeated requests by him (Sh. Sirsa) through correspondence with government, Kejriwal government has not revoked its controversial circular shifting Punjabi language from the list of compulsory subjects to the list of optional subjects and has ordered only to keep this circular in abeyance till further orders only; which shows the malafide intention of Kejriwal government.

Kejriwal government is minutely defrauding not only Punjabi teachers but also the whole Punjabi community by depriving the Punjabi teachers from permanent appointments and by not reinstating Punjabi as a compulsory subject in government schools, for which the Punjabi community will never forgive this government.

Sh. Sirsa again reminded Kejriwal government that if this government claims to be sympathetic to the Sikhs, then it must pass a resolution in Delhi assembly declaring 1st November as a "Black Day". Besides, the government should instantly get repaired the decaying flats of the victims of November 1984 massacre in Tilak Vihar colony. The government should also take steps to provide free electricity to the victims living in these flats because the electricity companies first send hefty bills to these families and then stop the supply of electricity in the area for several hours, in order to compel the victims for payments of these bills. Sh. Sirsa said that if Kejriwal government fails in taking such steps, its claims of being the well-wisher of Sikh community will prove to be just a political gimmick.

Manjinder Singh Sirsa :Initiate Criminal legal Proceedings Against the Director and Heroine of Movie 'Dishoom' for hurting Sikh Religious Sentiments

In a press conference organised here, general secretary of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee and minister of state in Punjab, Sh. Manjinder Singh Sirsa informed the media personnel that he has got issued a legal notice through his advocate Sh. S.S. Ahluwalia to the Sh. Rohit Dhawan, director of an upcoming movie namely 'Dishoom' as well as to its heroine Ms. Jacqueline Fernandez; for initiating criminal legal proceedings against both the accused. Issuing a copy of the notice to the media, Mr. Sirsa claimed that in the movie, Ms. Jacqueline Fernandez has been shown dancing to tunes of a particular song, with a Kirpaan tied to a belt and dangling between her legs. He said that Kirpaan is one of the essential Kakaar born by a practising Sikh (only Amritdhari Sikh can wear Kirpaan). The song in question has intentionally insulted the sacredness and respect of Kirpaan and the movie's director as well as heroine both are responsible.
Sh. Sirsa said that the sacredness and respect of Kirpan has been admitted and appreciated not only by various high courts and supreme court of India but also courts worldwide. The constitution of India also confers the right to bear Kirpan by persons professing Sikh faith, which itself reflects the importance and sacredness of Kirpaan in Sikhism. Therefore, the film director or cast must not be allowed to disrespect this religious symbol of the Sikh community in the guise of right to freedom of expression, which cannot be exercised while hurting the religious sentiments of people.
Sh. Sirsa informed that the controversial song, which has been uploaded on youtube.com, has already started hurting the religious sentiments of the Sikh community as he is already receiving numerous complaints in this matter from various Sikh bodies. Through the legal notice, Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa asked director Rohit Dhawan to immediately remove all the trailers/videos of the aforesaid song uploaded at youtube.com or other websites; either delete the song from the movie or re-shoot its video without the Kirpan worn by the actress and to make public apology along with Ms. Jacqueline Fernandez to the Sikh community for the deliberate insult done to a respectable Sikh religious symbol. He warned that if the these remedial steps are not taken, DSGMC would initiate criminal proceedings against the accused persons u/s 295A & 120B for hurting the religious sentiments of the Sikh community and will also file a petition in the court for banning the release of the movie.

Under the legal cell incharge of DSGMC Jaswinder Singh Jolly Supreme Court lawyer Sukhbir Kour Bajwa was made Officer on Special Duty and the victims of Genocide were appealed to come to DSGMC office”, informed G.K. The hard work by DSGMC helped in bringing 300 cases to light and 112 cases were scrutinised and were sent to the SIT with proper evidence attached to each case, G.K. informed. It took special cell of DSGMC seven months and all these cases were referred to SIT in 9 batches from 11 December 2015 to 25 may 2016, he added.

DSGMC President said that the decision of SIT to re-open 75 cases out of 112 would help in nailing the leaders of Congress party who perpetrated genocide. He also informed that FIRs in all these 75 cases were already registered but the Delhi police have pushed all these cases in cold basket taking the plea that there was no evidence. G.K. alleged that Delhi police failed to give justice to Sikhs so the cases should be got investigated by CBI or police of some other state. He demanded from SIT that cases in which the names of congress party leaders Jagdish Tytler, Sajjan Kumar and KamalNath is figuring should be handed over to CBI for investigations.

Reacting to the decision of the Congress party to appoint KamalNath as Punjab state incharge G.K. said that the said leader was responsible for attack on Gurdwara Rakabganj Sahib during the genocide. Datsun redi - GO for Fun, Freedom & Confidence

A car at a low price with a great mileage, even though with a manual transmission, is worth as the cost of Petrol is continuously rising. Even in the month of May, price of Petrol was enhanced twice, significantly. It dents into the pocket of every one except those who have plenty of money.

The new entrant into the market is the Redi – Go from Datsun, Nissan. Though the official price announcement of the redi-Go has been scheduled on June 7, the Datsun India redi-Go is likely to be priced at Rs. 2,39,500 for the base variant which is more likely to shake the segment with the most competitive pricing. The price seems most competitive and attractive for the first time entrants into the four wheeler segment as it is suited to almost every budget.

The car is based on the CMF-A platform developed by Renault and Nissan. This is the same platform that also underpins Renault Kwid. Both the cars also share identical powertrain with same specifications.

The redi-Go is powered by a 799cc three-cylinder petrol motor that churns out 53bhp and a peak torque of 72Nm, mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. Both the cars will return a claimed fuel efficiency of 25.17kmpl. A mileage of 25.17 kmpl looks quite attractive as it’s pocket friendly for the entire middle class range of people, who want to shift from a two wheeler.

The new Datsun car will run on 13-inch wheels and will also come with an audio system that has radio, CD, MP3, USB and aux-in connectivity. These features again generate attraction amongst the new entrants as they can have all kinds of music, while on the redi-Go.

The redi-Go measures 3,429mm in length, 1,560mm in width and 1,541mm in height. With a tallboy stance, the redi-Go comes with a ground clearance of 185mm which is 5mm higher than the Renault Kwid. It’s tallboy stance also seems quite attractive as it gives a great feeling.

Another attraction of the redi-Go is it’s colours. The car will be sold in five colours — ruby red, white, silver, lime green, and grey. The redi-Go will be pitted against Maruti Alto 800, Hyundai Eon and Renault Kwid in India and will be produced at Renault-Nissan alliance plant at Oragadam, Chennai.

This car can attract the first time entrants into the car segment due to it’s Lowest price in the market, with it’s great mileage, with it’s tall boy stance, it’s beautiful colours as well it’s music system. With a unique design, best in class performance and fairly comfortable seats, the Datsun redi-Go surely is the strongest contender in this highly competitive budget hatchback segment I am very much sure that it will soon become the heart throb of millions.

Fun. Freedom. Confidence. The ultimate Urban Cross - Datsun redi-GO - the capability of a crossover with the convenience of a hatchback. Let me have it's Trial at Delhi.

Manjinder Singh Sirsa gets status of State Minister in Punjab
New Delhi, 1 June

Manjinder Singh Sirsa, 'advisor' to Punjab's deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, was today granted the status of a state minister by the chief minister of the state Parkash Singh Badal. Disclosing this information, a spokesperson of chief minister office said that Parkash Singh Badal today signed the concerned file, thereby approving such status to Sirsa.

Sirsa is also the elected general secretary of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee and had defeated the erstwhile president of the committee Paramjit Singh Sarna by a record margin. He is perceived to be an honest, energetic and instant decision taker. Owing to such qualities of Sirsa, he had been practically been an advisor to the deputy chief minister of Punjab for a long time. However, he was formally designated as the same in the month of April this year and now he has been provided with the status of a state minister, which will aid him in greater participation in the state government's day-to-day functioning.

The news of  Sirsa being granted the status of a state minister is being welcomed by DSGMC president Manjit Singh G.K. and the Sikh circles of Delhi.
