United States: The purpose of the Chicago Leadership Prayer Breakfast is to collaborate as a multi-faith community on thanksgiving, and pray for the city and its leadership. The annual event is organized and funded by the Northern Trust.
Since its inception 52 years ago, Chicago’s civic, business, and religious leaders have taken part in the prayers and speeches, such as; Rev. Shannon Kershner, Pastor at Fourth Presbyterian Church, Master of Ceremonies David R. Casper, President of BMO Harris Bank interfaith prayer leaders, and the HHW Advanced Arts Chamber Choir and Alumni Association with Chicago Public Schools
However, for the first time in history, this years 90 minute breakfast event was led by a Sikh prayer recited by Rajinder Singh Mago, who prayed to the one universal lord through Mool Mantar gifted by God through Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
