PANCHKULA: For the 351st Parkash Utsav of Guru Gobind Singh, a three-day festival would be celebrated at Gurdwara Nada Sahib from December 23 to 25. The gurdwara management stated that the preparation for the entire event was in full swing.
For the decoration of the gurdwara, over 35 lakh roses will be used and 50,000 bulbs will be installed in and around the gurdwara to add beauty to the event. The theme for the occasion comprises the roses and gold color decorations, including buntings, streamers and decorative drapes, along with other items, which have been listed out by the gurdwara management officials for the entire event. Manager, Gurdwara Nada Sahib, Narender Singh said, "Flower petals would be showered on the devotees on the first day of the event."
On the first day of the event, a Nagar kirtan will be taken out from the gurdwara, which will pass through all sectors of the town and return to the gurdwara premises through Majri chowk. The Akhand path will start on the first day at 10am, which will continue till 9am on December 25. The management with the permission of the local cops will record the entire event, especially the Nagar kirtan, by a drone camera.
Besides this, the three-day event will showcase the history of Sikhs. Schoolchildren will give different kinds of presentations in connection with the event while various bands and traditional dances and Sikh martial art will make the event colorful.
