Health is Wealth at GHPS Hargobind enclave

A healthy child will achieve more in life. The school, run under the aegis of the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee and steered under the Chairmanship of S. Balbir Singh Ji Vivek Vihar has drawn out a detailed programme wherein the child and all those connected with him/her are drawn into the network to provide the best of healthcare. Regular Health Check-ups are conducted on an ongoing basis by a panel of eminent doctors. The school aims at ensuring that in case of need, attention of the parents can be drawn to ailments which, if neglected, can cause major setbacks later in life.

GHPS, Hargobind enclave on a mission to study Environment

"Our fast paced life styles and match box houses are distancing the children from the beauties of nature – both flora and fauna. Moreover, if our children donot realize the reason for and requirement of preserving the eco system nothing planned at higher levels will ever be effective. With a view to bridge this gap, a visit to the Asola Wildlife Sanctuary was organized for the students", said School Principal Mrs. Jasmeet Kaur

"We at Guru Harkrishan Public School, Hargobind Enclave believe that education should not be restricted to the covers of a book or confined to the four walls of a class room. A child learns more through first hand information", said Sd Balbir Singh School Chairman.

Guides and Teachers gave the children first hand exposure to the whys and wherefores of the need to preserve the eco – system. The photographs in themselves speak volumes and nothing more needs to be said...  In keeping with this concept, the school organized a ‘Study of Historical Monuments Tour’ for the students. A visit to Lodhi Garden was a part of this exercise. "The response of the children during and after the exercise was an eye opener for the teachers," Said Ms Parminder Kaur.

Go Green Campaign by GHPS, Hargobind enclave

Guru Harkrishan Public School, Hargobind Enclave, New Delhi, launched the Go Green Campaign in the school. The campaign was given a kick start not with the traditional tree plantation drive but a Nature study exercise, wherein, the students were told about various plants. The aim was to make the students aware of what can be planted, where and how.

The next step was to tell them how to create greenery with plants. A begining was made with a hope that they will carry the message home & in their respective localities. School Principal Mrs. Jasmeet kaur informed that this will be a regular feature in the school so that students could learn about the social responsibilities also.
