New Delhi, October 16: The 350th Prakash Parva of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur was celebrated with great reverence and enthusiasm by DSGMC .
On this occasion, Gurmat Samagam was held first at Gurdwara Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Mehrauli in the morning and at Gurdwara Bangla Sahib in the evening.Addressing the gathering, General Secretary of Delhi Gurdwara Committee and President of Delhi unit of Shiromani Akali Dal Mr. Harmeet Singh Kalka said that Baba Banda Singh Bahadur had established the Khalsa Raj.Baba Banda Singh Bahadur's first name was Laxman Dev given by his parents. Then his name became Madhav Das and then by the mercy of Guru Gobind Singh ,his name became Gurbaksh Singh and then Guru Gobind Singh Sahib embraced him.Harmeet Singh Kalka said
that DSGMC has tried to spread the great history of Sikhs
from house to house and printed booklets about Baba Banda Singh Bahadur;so that Sikh children would also
be acquainted with its rich history.
