THOUSANDS PARTICIPATE IN RUN4JUSTICE FOR GURPREET

DSGMC AND SIKH SEWA SOCIETY HAD JOINTLY ORGANISED MEET
          
New Delhi, October 2:  Thousands of Delhites today participated in "Run4Justice" a marathon for seeking justice for Gurpreet Singh who lost his life in cold-blooded murder for opposing smoking at public places recently. This meet was organized jointly by Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee in association with Sikh Sewa Society.

S. Onkar Singh father of Gurpreet Singh specially attended the marathon which started from Gurdwara Damdama Sahib and culminated at Gurdwara bala Sahib after being flagged off by Jathedar Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Gurbachan Singh ji. Bollywood singer Shibani Kashayap also participated in this marathon.
          
Addressing the participants on the occasion DSGMC General Secretary S.Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that murder of Gurpreet Singh has come as a shock not only to the sikh community but all the justice loving people. He said that every citizen of the country wants our environment of pollution-free and raising alarm against smoking by Gurpreet Singh was one of his duty towards the nation but it was most terrible that when this youngster was advising the most inhuman mind, he murdered him for raising the objection. He said that massive participation in this marathon has once again the reiteration of the stand of people that we want justice for Gurpreet Singh.
          
S. Sirsa said that we should all come together to eradicate all the evils spoiling our young generation and he also sought their cooperation for to get a ban on Hookah bars in Delhi which have become a menace and are harming our youngsters at very dangerous level. He said that his campaign against all these activities against the addictive products is dedicated to Gurpreet Singh.
          
In today's marathon  Ashish Chauhan stood first in boys category whereas Aftab and Amit Kumar stood second and third respectively whereas  Parmjit Kaur bagged first position and Manpriya Kaur and Gupreet Kaur came second and third respectively in the girl's category. Winners were honored with prizes.

S. Paramjit Singh Rana, chairman Dharam Parchar and S. Kuldeep Singh Bhopal Senior Akali leader were also present there.  PR
