Sukhbir Singh Badal and Harsimrat Kaur Badal Honored By Delhi Unit of Shiromani Akali Dal

The Delhi Unit of the Shiromani Akali Dal  honored party President Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal and former Union Minister Mrs. Harsimrat Kaur Badal. This honor was  in connection with the stand taken by Mrs. Harsimrat Kaur Badal in favor of Punjab farmers.

On this occasion, Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa ,President ,DSGMC and Mr. Harmeet Singh Kalka,President ,Delhi Unit of Shiromani Akali Dal appreciated their stand in favor of the farmer. Badal has set up an example and at the same time Mrs. Harsimrat Kaur Badal sacrificed her ministerial post to protect the interests of the farmer.

A big crisis has come upon the farmers and such laws are being passed which will cause great loss to the farmers in the long run. Farmers are not only the backbone of Punjab but also the backbone of the country. This law was made without communicating with the farmers and without their consent.

Mr.Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that Shiromani Akali Dal is a party of farmers and every farmer is Akali from the heart. Party could not compromise with the interests of the farmers in any way and the party would fight on the issue of these anti-farmer laws.

Apart from Manjinder Singh Sirsa and Harmeet Singh Kalka, Jathedar Avtar Singh Hitt, President of Takht Shri Patna Sahib, Bibi Ranjit Kaur, President of Stree Akali Dal Delhi unit, Harvinder Singh KP, Joint Secretary of Delhi Committee, Vikram Singh Rohini,Members of DSGMC, the entire team of Akali Dal Delhi unit, Youth Akali Dal, Manjot Singh & Gurpreet Singh (President and Councillor of Student Union,SGND Khalsa College) and Women Akali Dal workers were also present in large numbers.

Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa :Government Of India Should Raise Issue of Abduction of Bulbul Kaur with Pakistan Government

A high level delegation led by the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) President Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa today met External Affairs Ministry and demanded that Government of India should take up issue of abduction of Bulbul Kaur daughter of Head Granthi of Gurudwara Panja Sahib with Pakistan Government.

                                           Bulbul Kaur

Mr. Sirsa informed the Ministry that fifteen days ago, the daughter of Granthi of Gurudwara Sri Panja Sahib, Bulbaul Kaur was also abducted by two Muslim men and there is no news of her as yet despite her family‘s repetitive pleas to the police and authorities.

Her father Granthi S. Pritam Singh Ji has been seeking help with folded hands from community and leaders to save her daughter from butchery of conversion.

He said that with this abduction an impression is being sought to be created that girls of Head Granthis of prominent Sikh Gurudwara are inclined towards Muslim boys and this attempt will not be tolerated by the Sikh Community.

The Delegation apprised the Ministry that in last three months more than 55 girls of minority community have been abducted, converted to Islam and then married to Muslim men and in this case it appears that same modus operandi has been followed like in the case of Jagjit Kaur daughter of Head Granthi of Nankana Sahib.

Delegation urged the Ministry that this matter should immediately be taken up  with the Pakistan Government and permission should be given to a delegation of the DSGMC and SAD to visit Pakistan and ascertain the true facts as they feared that it is list of only 55 girls whereas in reality figure can be much more. They also want to know what status of such girls is.

Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa also disclosed that JP Singh Joint Secretary In -charge of Pakistan Desk in the Ministry informed them that they had summoned Pakistan High Commissioner yesterday after they were informed of the matter by him (Manjinder Singh Sirsa) and have told them to ensure return of girl in 24 hours. Now they will again seek report on the status of her return.

Mr. Sirsa announced that they will wait till tomorrow evening for return of the girl  and in case she fails to return to a family ,then a dharna will start from September 21 in front of Pakistan High Commission in Delhi and it will continue for until justice is delivered.

It is worth mentioning here that last year, Jagjit Kaur, the daughter of head granthi of Gurudwara Sri Nankana Sahib faced this torture. Her family is still fighting to get her back but even the law protects the radicals and thus, conversion factory runs at full pace in Pak.

They said that this is not a coincidence; this is a well-hatched conspiracy to convert the daughters of influenced  Sikh families especially because Sikhs are the most courageous, humanitarian and open minded community, ready to help everyone. This is an attempt to belittle the faith and practice of Sikhism in Pakistan. Such humiliation faced by Sikh families deeply anguishes every Sikh in India and worldwide.

Delegation urged the Government of India that steps must be taken to ensure the safety and well-being of Sikh families in Pakistan and it should voice the concerns of global Sikh Community.

Giani Harpreet Singh (Acting SGPC Jathedar): Awarded ‘Tankhah’ to SGPC President Gobind Singh Longowal and Other Office-Bearers and Members of the Executive committee

In a significant development, Giani Harpreet Singh, SGPC-appointed acting jathedar, today snubbed the Gurdwara body president Gobind Singh Longowal, other office-bearers and members of the executive committee openly in presence sangat at Akal Takht Sahib for being negligent in stopping sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib’s saroops in publishing house at Gurdwara Ramsar Sahib.

All these SGPC functionaries turned up in front of Takht Sahib to apologize for their negligence that led to misappropriation, fabrication, and manipulation of the record related to the holy saroops and as many as 328 saroops going missing.

However, they were not pardoned and the acting Jathedar awarded them ‘tankhah’ instead.

Pulling them in presence of sangat, the jathedar said, “How shameful it is that the staff used to give the ‘saroops’ without following rules and regulations to sangat and pocket the money as per the inquiry report.

He asked them to go for parkarma of Sri Harmandar Sahib sarovar while reciting ‘Satnam-Waheguru’ in their mind and return here. On their return, they again had to stand in front of the Takht Sahib with folded hands.
