As soon as COVID-19 was
declared a global pandemic, UNITED SIKHS immediately began working with
authorities to provide as much support as possible. They immediately put the
principle of selfless service into action and launched a global response to
help tackle this unprecedented pandemic.
UNITED SIKHS has
stepped up with Emergency Response Teams to feed families in need from all
corners of the globe. From India, United Kingdom, Malaysia, Australia, United
States, Canada and more. In total, UNITED SIKHS has provided over 1 million
meals to those in need.
Everyday since the
beginning of the pandemic, their volunteers have looked for and reached those
groups of people that are most vulnerable to a crisis like this and those that
may not have anyone to turn to for help. The elderly, daily wage earners,
pregnant women in low-income areas, children, and families affected by Covid-19
and the list goes on.
With donors help,
UNITED SIKHS equipping them with everything they need to save their lives and
the lives of their loved ones. Nutritious meals, sanitizers, masks, gloves,
fresh clothing, water and groceries.
