Dal Khalsa: Punjab Has Legitimate Ownership On Its River Waters, Digging Of SYL Next To Impossible.

Reiterating that the Sutlej Yamuna Link (SYL) canal was planned against universally accepted riparian principles with an eye on looting the scarce water resources of Punjab, the Dal Khalsa said the digging of SYL was next to impossible and that the people of Punjab would not allow this to happen.

The Organization categorically stated that Punjab owns the waters of the Sutlej, Ravi and Beas and no legislation or court could deprive the state of its legitimate right of ownership.

Party spokesperson Kanwar Pal Singh said the ghost of the SYL canal has cropped up again to haunt the people of Punjab. “We will defend the rights of the state at any cost,” he added.

“We won’t allow the Centre to further rob or take away the waters forcefully with state’s might and if it happens, we have a right to resist and fight back,” he maintained.

Disagreeing with the Punjab Chief Minister on the need for a fresh tribunal to make a fresh time-bound assessment of water availability, he said instead of opting for delaying tactics Captain Amrinder Singh should address the water problem of the state strictly based on riparian principle.

Dal Khalsa blamed the executive and the judiciary for muddling the Punjab river waters issue and vowed not to allow the construction of SYL at any cost.

He further added that the people of Punjab, particularly the agriculture community, was worried that despite the tall claims of politicians of all shades, more than 50 per cent (19 out of the 35 MAF) of Punjab’s water flows to other non-riparian states.

Shiromani Akali Dal (D) president Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa

"When I and my Paty workers  marched to free the Shiromani Akali Dal from Badal, I appealed to the people of Punjab to support me," “At that time Rajinder Singh Raja Muktsar contacted me and expressed his desire to work in the party and I included him in the party. But it came to my notice that this man has kicked his mother out of the house and she was in a very bad condition, later she died.        Sreenivasulu with the Golden Temple pen-refill replica using 1500+ pen refills.

MR Sreenivasulu, a miniature artist from Bengaluru, has done to commemorate his 13th year as a miniature artist in 2020. Sreenivasulu needed two years and four months to complete his labour of love. It is part of his attempts to create awareness about plastics and their hazardous effect on the world.

There are other world-renowned monuments he has brought to life using pen refills too.

He began by creating a miniature model of the 'Eiffel Tower' using 200-used pen refills in 2007. Ten years later, he brought the Charminar, Big Ben, Taj Mahal, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Gateway of India, Seattle Space Needle, Sydney Harbor Bridge and St Philomena Church, Mysuru, to life using 2500+ pen refills.

Sreenivasulu's wish is to re-create all the famous landmarks across the world and to use them as education material for architecture students.

A native of Dharmavaram, Andhra Pradesh, he began making miniature house models using marriage invitation cards at a tender age.

It was his hobby of collecting used pen refills from friends that would lead him to recreating the Golden Temple and the other famous monuments.

As part of 'Say No to Plastic' programme, which he organises for awareness on global warming in schools and colleges, he set up pen refill collection boxes. The refills collected in this manner too went into the making of other miniature structures.

He has exhibited his artworks in various prominent events and been featured in various record books too.

Sreenivasulu will take part in an upcoming international event the Rosanna Orlandi(RO) Plastic Prize. He is among the finalists across the world for this award. 1991 Balwant Singh Multani Torture And Disappearance Case : Fresh Trouble For DGP Sumedh Saini As Former Cops To Testify In Hope Of Pardon

Latest updates reveal that the Court has accepted the request of two former police inspectors to turn approver in the enforced disappearance case of Sikh youth Balwant Singh Multani. Notably, the duo cops had secured anticipatory bails in May this year along with two other cops namely Har Sahai Sharma and Anoop Sing

In 1991, the Chandigarh police had abducted Balwant Singh Multani from his residence immediately after an attack on Sumedh Saini in Chandigarh. Four cops deployed in the security of Saini were killed in this attack while he survived the attack.

                                    DGP Sumedh Saini

After abducting Balwant Singh Multani, the cops had committed inhuman torture on him at the behest of Sumedh Saini. “During the night of December 13, 1991, the cops of Sector-17 police station produced Balwant Singh Multani before Sumedh Saini. He was tortured so cruelly that he was left unable to stand. When he fell down, Sumedh Saini kicked him so cruelly that his eye came out. Next morning, he was lying unconscious in a pool of blood. Saini came and ordered the cops to put him inside a vehicle and they took him along with them,” an eyewitness Gursharan Kaur Mann had revealed in May this year.

                       An eyewitness Gursharan Kaur Mann

In 2007, the Punjab & Haryana High Court had ordered a CBI inquiry into this case. The CBI had found enough evidence against Sumedh Saini after which an FIR was registered against him, along with three other cops namely SP (Operations) Baldev Singh Saini, SI Harsahai Sharma and Jagir Singh on July 4, 2008. Later, this FIR was quashed by the Supreme Court of India after Saini challenged CBI inquiry and the High Court’s decision.

On May 6, the Mohali police had registered a fresh FIR on the complaint of victim Balwant Singh Multani’s brother Palwinder Singh Multani against Sumedh Saini, SP (Operations) Baldev Singh Saini, SI Harsahai Sharma, SI Jagir Singh, SI Savir Singh, SI Anoop Singh, Kuldeep Singh and other unknown police cops.
