A message is being flashed by the "Shiromani Akali Dal Delhi UK", About the Parking issue at Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib, as below :
MAKE PRODUCTIVE INVESTMENT AT RIGHT PLACE
DO NOT WASTE COMMUNITY’S RESOURCES
Respected Singh & Kaur
An initiative has been taken by a concerned member of the Sikh Community to launch a campaign against the unwanted parking project at Gurudwara Rakabganj Sahib with a massive investment of Rs.350 crores which in the opinion of majority of Sikh people is not a right choice from any angle since there is already a very spacious parking available in the Gurudwara Sahib which can accommodate even three weddings at a time without any problem. Wedding is a regular feature for which parking space is not a problem.
As regards celebration of gurpurabs, these we get maximum five per year out of which two gurpurabs falls on holidays. The outside parking space is abundantly available. In case Gurudwara Committee organizes parking management system professionally, it will not cause any problem for in-flowand out-flow of the Sangat. At Birla Mandir there is a very huge rush as well as Jhandewala and at Iskcon Temple, they do manage the parking. Therefore just because of three days (which is again an excuse and not justified in any manner) you cannot make illogical and unwanted massive investment on this single project. ( contd. )

Such a huge amount should be spend on Gurmat Prachar in Punjab and other states, where people are leaving Gurudwara's and bowing their heads at so called "Dera's". There are many young youths those are Granthi's , Raagi's , Katha Vachak's and Parchark's but are without work as they are not getting jobs and its difficult for them to earn bread-butter to run their families. Putting them into Gurmat prachar with this huge money will improve presence of Sikhi in Punjab. Thnx.
