US-Based Dasvandh Network has Partnered with a Number of Sikh Organizations Across The Country to Raise funds For and Support the #BlackLivesMatter Movement.

In a press note, the Dasvandh Network announced that it is launching a new initiative to support the Black Lives Matter movement by raising funds for the Black Emotional and Mental Health Collective (BEAM) collective.
Dasvandh Network started that amidst a global pandemic and its resulting economic fallout, the murders of George Floyd and Breona Taylor resulted in country-wide protests and much-needed conversations about racism and long-term systemic change.

George Floyd was killed in May 2020 and since then, the country has seen a growing number of protests by the Black Lives Movement supporters. The Dasvandh Network press release states that the Sikhs have an inspiring history of standing up for and in solidarity with those who have faced injustices.

It is imperative that we, as Sikh Americans, continue to support the call for human and civil rights both universally and domestically.

The initiative by Sikh organizations will aim to raise $25,000 for BEAM. Sikh24 calls upon its readers to donate via the Dasvandh Network initiative and help the long-term healing of the Black Community. Donations can be made online at www.dvnetwork.org/BEAM
