July 10, 2020: In a significant decision, the Guru Nanak University
Amritsar has nominated the Senior Executive of ‘Ajit’ group of newspapers Ms.
Gurjot Kaur as the member of the Board of Control of the University. Ms. Gurjot
Kaur would hold this coveted post from July 1, 2020, to June 30th, 2021.
Along
with the Board of Control of the University she would also be a member of the
Board of Studies. Ms. Gurjot Kaur has been appointed in the Board of Control in
the Punjabi language.
Pertinently, Board of Control was the most
important institution of the Guru Nanak Dev University as this Board has to
prepare the syllabus of the Punjabi language in the University from the basics
to the Ph. D. From drafting the syllabus of the University the Board also
prepares and appoints supervisors.
The
appointment of Ms. Gurjot Kaur has been made by the Vice-Chancellor of the
University Prof. Jaspal Singh Sandhu.
